Kentucky District AAU Volleyball

AAU VOLLEYBALL

ProgramOverview

The AAU Junior National Volleyball Program offers opportunities for boys and girls, ages 10 to 18, in all skill levels to participate in indoor and beach volleyball. Events are held throughout the country, including local leagues, District Championships, Grand Prix tournaments, Super Regionals and National Championships. The National Championships are open, so any member team can participate.

Events are conducted under the current AAU Code, AAU Volleyball Handbook and the playing rules of USA Volleyball as modified by AAU. Modifications of playing rules that are beneficial to participants at the local level can be implemented with approval. AAU is a member organization of USA Volleyball. 

AgeDivisions

The age determination date for AAU Volleyball is September 1. Below are the 2015 age requirements for each age division.

10 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2004
11 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2003
12 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2002
13 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2001
14 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 2000
15 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 1999
16 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 1998
17 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 1997
18 & Under - Born on or after Sept 1, 1996; or were high school students in the 12th grade or below during the current academic year and born on or after Sept 1, 1995.

Age Waivers: No age waivers are allowed at the National Championships. Local District Directors can modify age divisions at District tournaments.

GIRLS:

June 15-26, 2015 –ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex located at the Walt Disney World>® Resort and the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, FL 

Ages 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18. (Open, Premier, Club and Classic Divisions) 
4 days of play per division

BOYS:

June 18-21, 2015 – Orlando Sports Center, Orlando, FL - Ages 13/14, 15, 16, 17, 18. 

BEACH: 

July, 2015 – The Pier, Hermosa Beach, CA - Boys & Girls Ages 10, 12, 14, 16, 18

The National Championships are open event.  No qualifying required!
